EC is likely to engage celebrities for poll awarness
The Election Commission is likely to engage celebrities and stars from different fields to motivate the electorate in exercising their franchise in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
Chief election commissioner (CEC) N Gopalaswami on Friday hinted that services of celebrities may be used this time for creating awareness among the masses about the right to vote. He was addressing a press conference along with election commissioners (ECs) Navin Chawla and S Y Quraishi. They are on a two-day visit to Bihar to assess preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state.
