MP Elections : Uma Bharti supports L K Advani
Bharatiya Janashakti Party leader Uma Bharti on Wednesday said that not only does she support Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani becoming the next prime minister but will also campaign for him in the non-BJP dominated states for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Bharti, who left BJP accusing partisan behaviour of Advani, is understood to have expressed her support for the veteran leader in a letter, sources said.
The letter saying that she would be “happy to see Advani at the Prime Minister’s chair” was delivered to Advani’s office through Bharti’s aide.
“I will campaign for Advaniji in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and I would consider myself fortunate if I get even one vote for him,” Ms. Bharti said at a press conference.
