India Elections : Give special status to Bihar, take support : Nitish
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, whose Janata Dal-United party is an important member of the National Democratic Alliance, on Friday said the new government at the Centre must give his state special status.
“Whoever forms a government the aim is to get special status for Bihar,” said Kumar at a book release function in Patna.
“At a time when every party and pre-poll alliance is claiming that it would form government in Delhi, I ask parties in Bihar to make it a pre-condition for support that whichever party or alliance comes to power will provide special category status to Bihar,” said the Bihar chief minister.
