Election Commission of India
Elections in India are conducted by the Election Commission of India, the authority created under the Constitution. It is a well established convention that once the election process commences, no courts intervene until the results are declared by the election commission. During the elections, vast powers are assigned to the election commission to the extent that it can function as a civil court, if needed.

My pooling booth is very far compared to our neighboring building. Booth No. 99 of 181 of 30 MumbaI South Central. My wife had to spend Rs.50/- to take my mother in law to the booth by taxi and after reaching there she found it not possible to climb the First floor where the booth was situated. Why is the booth so far and what about senior citizen climbing up floors to cast their vote. With this in view who will come out to cast their valuable vote in the future
I am a resident of Shalimar Garden Main (Ghaziabad) and having Election Ind. Card also but when today I went to cast my vote, I was surprised that my name was not in the list so I was not able to cast my vote.
At Voting Booth Nos. 29, 30 and 31 at Govt. Senior School, Moola Hera, Gurgaon (Haryana) the formalities for ‘No Voting’ under Rule 49(O) were not available with the Election Officers with the result hundreds of Senior Citizens of Sector-22B, Gurgaon could not use their right of ‘No Voting’ under Rule 49(O). Now, again the State Assembly Elections of Haryana are due in Sept. or October,09. Therefore, we the senior citizens of Sector-22B, 22-A, 21, and 23 request to provide this facility in the coming elections of State of Haryana.
