W. A. Sangma

W. A. Sangma (1919-1990) was the first Chief Minister of Meghalaya state of Northeastern India. Sangma was initially a leader of APHLC (All Party Hills Leaders Conference). APHLC merged with Indian National Congress (INC) after the Mendipathar Conference. He remained leader of the house in Meghalaya Legislative Assembly several occasions during his political career.
