I am not clear if hon mr m.m. singh contested in this election, if yes fro which constituency, and if no then i want to understand the procedure how a pm is elected.

to be a PRIME MINISTER need not be a MP. The majority in the house is allowed to choose any indian citizen above 36 to be a prime minister.so in this scenario MANMOHAN SINGH is Unanimous elected from the majority of the house so he will be next PM.
