India Elections : Advani vows to bring back black money

BJP leader L.K. Advani on Sunday raised the issue of bringing back to India the huge amount of Indian money lying in Swiss banks, where secrecy laws were recently undone.

BJP on Sunday asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who’ll be travelling to London on April 2 to attend the G-20 summit, to use the opportunity to impress upon the western powers to share information about India’s wealth stashed up in Swiss banks and other tax havens so as to facilitate its flight back to the country.

Adding to his list of pre-poll promises, L K Advani, prime-ministerial candidate of the Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said he would bring the Indian money deposited secretly in Swiss banks and other tax havens across the world back, in case his party got a chance to rule the country after the next Lok Sabha elections.
