A total of 569 candidates for 42 Lok Sabha and 3,656 for 294 Assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh are left in the fray after the withdrawal of nominations for second pahse ended.
The voting in the state, where Lok Sabha and Assembly polls are being held simultaneously, will be held in two phases on April 16 and April 23.
Twenty-two Lok Sabha and 154 Assembly segments spread over 14 districts will go to the polls on April 16. For the first phase, 445 nominees for Lok Sabha and 3,612 for Assembly seats had filed nominations. Of them, 315 for Parliamentary and 1,833 for Assembly seats remained in the poll fray.
In Phase II, 368 candidates filed nominations for 20 Lok Sabha seats and 2,873 for 140 Assembly constituencies in 10 districts.
