India Elections : Digvijay Singh warns BSP against harassing the Congress workers

Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh sought to invoke the investigative agencys fear to warn the ruling SP'>BSP against harassing his partys workers in UP.

The AICC general secretarys threat, issued at an election rally held in Hardoi in central UP, invited immediate reaction from Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati and BJP, which has been accusing Congress of devaluing crucial institutions such as the Election Commission, CBI and the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Former MP chief minister, while addressing the public meeting, warned the SP'>BSP leadership against harassing state Congress leaders. I am challenging and warning the SP'>BSP leadership against victimising our party workers, Mr Singh said, even as he sought to remind UP CM of CBI cases pending against her.
