The election campaign will come to an end on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in more places, ahead of Thursdays Phase IV polling in 85 Lok Sabha constituencies in seven States and the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
Voting for the fourth phase of LS polls will take place on May 7.
A total of 1315 candidates including 119 women are in the fray for the 85 Parliamentary seats in the fourth phase of elections. Almost 9.46 crore voters will exercise their franchise on May 7 and nearly 1.29 lakh polling stations have been set for the job.
The Election Commission said it was fully prepared for this phase.
It said there would be about 3,650 polling stations coming under the partly naxalite-affected areas of Nalanda and Pataliputra constituencies in Bihar, where security had been tightened.
