India Elections : JD(S) ready to support UPA

The Janata Dal(Secular), which has three members in the Lok Sabha, has expressed its readiness to become part of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre.

The former Chief Minister and JD(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy left for New Delhi on Sunday after receiving a telephone call from AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad on Saturday.

Kumaraswamy met senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on monday.

The JD(S) leader had said that their expectation from the new government is to get “more benefit for Karnataka’s development.”
