Minor incidents of violence were reported from Osmanabad, the Lok Sabha constituency of NCP leader Padamsinh Patil, after he was arrested by CBIа in connection with Pawanraje Nimbalkar murder case..
Nimbalkar and his driver were shot dead in a car on June 3, 2006 at Kalamboli in Navi Mumbai near.
Patil’s suspected involvement in the case was revealed after one of the arrested accused, Parasmal Jain, said in his statement that he was asked by the NCP leader to eliminate Nimbalkar due to business rivalry.
Nationalist Congress (NCP) leader and MP Padamsinh Patil was remanded to CBI custody till June 14 by a Navi Mumbai court in the case of murder of Congress leader Pawanraje Nimbalkar.
“Patil has been booked under section 302 (murder) and section 120 B (criminal conspiracy). He has been remanded to our custody till June 14,” said CBI counsel Ijaz Khan.
