State Assembly elections in Haryana, Maharashtra and Arunachal Pradesh will be held in a single phase on October 13. Counting of votes will take place on October 22, the Election Commission said. The notification will be issued on September 18.
Counting of votes in all the three states will be held on October 22. Announcing the schedule, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Navin Chawla said the process of filing of nominations would be over on September 25. The last date for withdrawal of nominations will be September 29.
While the terms of the current assemblies in Arunachal Pradesh and Maharashtra will end on October 24 and November 3 respectively, the Haryana elections have been advanced consequent upon the dissolution of the Assembly by the Congress government, which wants the polls to be advanced.
