Maharashtra Elections : CPM to contest on all eight seats in Pune city

The left front in Maharashtra said it would contest all eight seats in Pune city in the forthcoming assembly elections.
Announcing the candidature of Kiran Moghe of CPM for the Parvati seat, the front leaders said they would soon announce the names of candidates for other seats.

Ajit Abhyankar, general secretary, CPI(M) told mediapersons “After separating from the Communist Party of India in 1965, this is the first time that a CPI (M) candidate is contesting the assembly election in Pune city. Earlier, some candidates have contested the Lok Sabha elections from Pune city.” The CPI (M) will also contest from the newly-carved Bhosari seat, Abhyankar added.
