Anxiety level of candidates and leaders of different political parties began rising on Tuesday as countdown for declaration of the Bihar assembly poll result begins. Counting of votes would be taken up at 8 am on Wednesday at all the 42 counting centres across the state.
The Election Commission (EC) has deputed two special observers here to monitor the counting at the state headquarters level.
The EC has directed the counting supervisors and officials to reach the counting centres, mostly college buildings at the district headquarters, by 5 am. They will be told about the counting hall and the table where they would report for duty only in presence of the observers. The selection process will start through randomization process.
The EC has arranged vehicles for counting officials and supervisors at 3.30 am near their residential colonies to enable them to report at the counting centres before 5 am.
