Desperate to regain its lost ground in Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to get all its national leaders to UP for two days for a meeting of the national executive committee on June 4 and 5. Apart from senior leaders, chief ministers from all BJP-ruled states will also attend the meet.
The party will review its performance in the recent Assembly elections, and brainstorm to make a plan for the 2012 UP Assembly elections.
It is after six years that the party is holding its national executive committee meeting in Uttar Pradesh. Last time the meeting was held in 2005 under the leadership of Rajnath Singh.
