The BJP is not owned by any family and its workers are its strength, party president Nitin Gadkari said.
Addressing a gathering after unveiling the statue of BJP leader Lakhiram Agarwal in Kharsiya village here last evening, Gadkari said that only the party workers could become a Prime Minister or Chief Minister in BJP.
Gadkari said politics is an instrument to bring in social and economic changes and is also a medium of service. It is not restricted to winning elections, he said.
“The BJP’s aim is to make India the most powerful and prosperous country in the world,” he added.
On the occasion, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh announced that the government medical college being built at Raigarh would be named after Agarwal.
