The ball has started rolling for elections in one of the most sensitive northeastern states of India i.e. Manipur. With voting scheduled for January 28, 2012, no party is taking any chance and the campaign is going on in full swing. The process of election will be completed by March 9, 2012 after counting of votes is completed on March 6, 2012. However, with the ruling Congress party strongly contending to come for the third successive term and the seven party alliance opposing Congress and its candidates, Manipur is proving to be one of the most violent and disturbing elections in recent times.
