Congress focused on education, health in its manifesto

The Congress party has focused on education, health, jobs and even an Amul-like milk revolution, in its manifesto released on Tuesday by Union HRD minister Kapil Sibal in the presence of prime minister’s adviser on innovations Sam Pitroda. As announced in its vision document released earlier, the party committed itself to creating two million jobs over the next five years if voted to power.

The party would provide a sub-quota to Muslims and Most Backward Castes among Other Backward Classes commensurate with their population in government jobs, educational institutions and panchayat institutions, the minister said.
